da betsson: Chelsea are now willing to make a huge bid to get a deal for a “monster” over the line, with new manager Liam Rosenior personally an admirer.

Blues prepared to make huge bid for new forward

da premier bet: The Blues showcased their attacking prowess in Rosenior’s first match, albeit against Championship side Chartlon Athletic, running out 5-1 winners against the Addicks to book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

However, BlueCo remain keen on strengthening their options in attacking areas, with the likes of West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr, and Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola all being named as potential targets in recent days.

The west Londoners are clearly keen on making improvements out wide, but signing a new striker may be of more importance, given that Liam Delap is yet to make the desired impact, struggling with injuries and scoring just one goal in 12 Premier League games.

According to a report from Spain, Chelsea remain keen on signing a new centre-forward, as they are now prepared to blitz their existing transfer record by submitting a €150m (£130m) bid for Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez.

Rosenior is personally a fan of the Argentinian, with the new manager admiring his pressing ability and link-up play, but it would take a huge bid to get a deal over the line, as he remains under contract at Atletico until 2030.

The Blues are looking to bring in a top striker to complement the likes of Pedro Neto and Estevao in attack, and there is every indication the former Manchester City man could be the ideal addition to Rosenior’s squad…

"Monster" Alvarez could elevate Chelsea's attack

As previously mentioned, Delap has struggled to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge, whereas the Atletico forward has already proven himself at the highest level, chipping in with four goals and two assists in five Champions League appearances this season.

Not only that, but the 49-time Argentina international has already proven himself in the Premier League, contributing with a combined 21 goals and assists in 36 outings during the 2023-24 campaign to help Man City secure the title.

The monstrous midfielder would make Chelsea so much stronger, and he could be their next Caicedo.

Lauded as a “monster” by Pablo Gonzalez, the Calchin-born marksman is only 25-years-old, meaning he has plenty of time to develop even further, and he could be a fantastic signing for Chelsea.

As such, although £130m would be an astronomical fee to shell out, the Blues are clearly some way off the Premier League title, currently sitting 19 points behind Arsenal, and the signing of Alvarez could help transform Rosenior’s side into real contenders next season.
